The Middle East is an area where cars and truck is king and fuel is inexpensive, typically leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.

But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually pushed up the price of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one service is taking advantage of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing successful too, already their client-list consists of McDonald's.
